Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 10th September’ 2020 launched “e-Gopala” app for livestock owners. The Prime Minister said during the launch of the app that “the e-Gopala app will be a digital medium that will help livestock owners. This app will give all information related to productivity, health and diet for the cattle".

Hon’ble Chief Minister, Assam on 4th May’ 2020 visited RILEM, Rani. He was accompanied by Hon'ble Minister, Veterinary, Assam, Hon’ble MLA, Tingkhong, Hon’ble Chairman, ALPCo, Director, Veterinary, /Dairy/ NRC-P, ICAR and Dean, CVSc. AAU. During the visit, Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup and Suptd. of Police, Kamrup were also present. On his arrival at RILEM, Hon’ble CM was taken to visit Livestock farms under the institute followed by a discussion which was initiated by Hon’ble CM in presence of Hon’ble Minister, Veterinary and respected dignitaries including the officials present during the visit. On completion, a press meet was organized which was addressed by Hon’ble CM primarily on the outbreak of African Swine Fever and the follow up action undertaken by State Vety Deptt.
