Departmental Field Officers are imparted advanced training on Management of Field Artificial Insemination (AI) and Infertility for better scientific service delivery in the field and for economic benefit of the dairy farmers of Assam. Some interested officers were also trained on Frozen Semen (FS) Processing Technology, quality control of Frozen Semen, and Andrological Management of Bulls for deploying their service for FS production and efficient semen distribution in the 15 Frozen Semen Banks of the state.
Four of the officers were also trained in NDDB HQ at ANAND on implementinmg the new AI monitoring software Information Network on Animal Productivity and Health (INAPH)

Field level AI workers of the Department covering 27 districts of Assam were imparted with Refreshers Training on reproductive techniques. Main thrust has been given on economic use and proper handling of Liquid Nitrogen to bring down the evaporation loss of LN during transit and in different stages of LN transfer from the production source to the end users in the field. Training is also imparted on monitoring and progress report preparation of the AI programme. The impact of such trainings results in better scientific handling of AI equipments and LN containers in the field.
