After improved AI service, the cattle population in Patharughat, Sipajhar area is in an increasing trend resulting in gradual increase of milk production and generating Self-Employment opportunities. Marketing of milk was reorganized by forming a society called Patharughat Dugdha Utpadan Samiti. The society has 42 permanent members and 21 SHG and 210 lady members producing 800-1000 litres of milk per day.
Mangaldoi town area also shows achievement of commercial production of milk after adoption of AI. A society called Godhan Gopal was formed with 45 members having 900 litre collection per day. It sells milk and by-products like cream, curd, sweets in Mangaldoi Town.
