Sri Gajen Borah started Dairy and Horticulture farming in his own land. He got 13 kgs Oat seed, 12 kgs Urea and 2 kgs Zing Sulphate from Department of AH & Veterinary, Assam under RKVY 2011-12 for cultivation of fodder in 1 bigha of land. He cultivated Oat grass in 1 bigha of land and produced 39 quintals of green grass. The production of fodder in his fodder plot was a great help to him for enhancing his milk production. There is a good impact on neighbouring farmers who are beginning to take up this activity to enhance milk production.
