Due to increased production of crossbreed calves and increase in milk production, clustered and market-led approach is coming up in Hojai area. Basudev Dugdha Utpadak Samiti, Jamuna Velley Dugdha Utpadak Samiti are some successful examples.
The Jagial Dugdha Utpadok Society of Nagaon was established in 2010 with 62 members. Eleven elite members of the Society has been adopting AI and producing more than 350 litres of milk per day at their own farm campus.
